For over 20 years, Wayne has served as Executive Director of Wayside Cross Ministries. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College, and a Masters of Divinity from Gordon Conwell Seminary. Reverend Greenawalt brought to Wayside Cross Ministries more than 18 years of pastoral leadership. Wayne lives in Aurora with wife Karin who teaches at Aurora Christian School. They have two married daughters and six grandchildren. A much loved part of his family is a Great Pyrenees dog Alaska who loves long walks with the family. Wayne and Karin attend First Baptist Church in Batavia, Illinois. Wayne enjoys working with his hands, and has built a vacation home in Wisconsin. He enjoys the outdoors with activities like sailing, swimming and running. James LukoseAssociate Executive Director Phone: 630-723-3423 / Email: jlukose@waysidecross.org James came aboard as a Director of Master’s Touch Ministries and Elgin Wayside Center in 1998. Since 2002 he has served as the Associate Executive Director of Wayside Cross Ministries, overseeing its internal operations and coordinating the efforts of five of the six ministries. James has over 27 years of experience in management, marketing and leadership. James earned his Bachelor of Arts in economics from India and his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Illinois. He is also the recipient of the 2006 Distinguished Service Award from the Alumni Association of the Moody Bible Institute. James, his wife Jerusha, and their youngest son, Jairus, reside in Wheaton. Their eldest son, Jasper, resides in Winfield with his wife Karen. James also serves as an Elder of his home church, Lombard Gospel Chapel in Lombard, Illinois. In college James thrived on sport activities such as track and field, volleyball, and motorcycling. Presently one hobby is reading books on management, leadership and theology and looks forward to riding horses some day. Randall J. TomassiDirector, Master's Touch Ministry Phone: 630-723-3422 / Email: rtomassi@waysidecross.org In October, 2002, Randy joined Wayside as Director of The Master's Touch Ministry. Prior to joining Wayside, Randy attended Wheaton College Graduate School and in 2002 he earned his MA in Biblical Theology. In 2000, Randy was the recipient of the Merrill C. Tenney Award for Academic Excellence in New Testament Studies. Previously, Randy was in the actuarial consulting profession for 23 years, including three years as Senior Vice President and Managing Executive of the Chicago office of Sedgwick Noble Lowndes. Randy was an Enrolled Actuary under The Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Member of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. Randy and his wife, Terry, have been married for 34 years. They have two daughters: Gracie, who went home to the Lord in 1997 at age 5, and Zoe, who is 16. The family also includes a 7 year old Bichon Frise named Ollie. Randy’s hobbies include travel, golf, reading, and theater. The Tomassi family lives in Batavia, and are members of Covenant of Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church, where Randy is a Ruling Elder. Lynda has served Lifespring Ministry as Director since February, 1989. She says her passion is the Lifespring staff, "they are my heroes, they are on the front lines of the ministry every day!" Her goal is to keep them encouraged and equipped so they may minister to the women and children living at our center. Lynda received her Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a minor in Music from Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids Michigan. She and her husband Mike live in Wheaton, IL and attend Bloomingdale Church. In life, Lynda enjoys people! She loves to see the similarities and differences that make us all unique and valued by God. Her family, network of friends, music, the arts, and outdoor activites...especially snow (yes snow) are all important to her. Of course, God is at the core of it all! Since July of 2005, Scot served as Director of Wayside's Urban Youth Ministry. Scot’s previous ministry experiences include directing a host of youth ministry activities, while on staff at a Methodist church in Evanston Illinois. Scot's youth experiences include overseeing a neighborhood baseball league in Chicago and serving on local community Boards in Chicago. Scot volunteered and served for several years with the Cook County division of Good News Jail and Prison Ministry. For two years, Scot served as a key Present's Council member, as well doing ministry in Cook County Juvenile Detention Center and Cook County's Division 11, Maximum Security Prison. Scot is a Rotarian and currently serves on a host of local youth boards, advisory councils, and community leadership groups; focusing on youth in Aurora. Scot holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University at Buffalo Law School, a Masters Degree from Moody Bible Institute, and over 15 years experience working in corporate legal departments of various fortune 100 companies. Scot currently teaches Business Law and other courses at Aurora University; and other local colleges/universities. Scot, his wife Juanita and son Douglas, currently reside in Chicago where they attend The Moody Church. His passions are cooking, fishing, and teaching. Tom and his wife Laurie have six children and eight grandchildren. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Tom spent 33 years in Nebraska. While incarcerated in the Douglas County (NE) Correctional Center in 1979-80, Tom trusted Jesus as His Savior and Lord. He then earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Grace College of the Bible (Omaha NE) and returned to Douglas County Corrections as a Staff Chaplain in 1986. In 1992, Tom left the jail to be a Counselor and Assistant Administrator, and later Programs Director, at the Open Door Mission in Omaha. Beginning in 1996, God called Tom and Laurie to start three Rescue Missions in Nebraska. With each Rescue Mission, a Jail Ministry was also started to the local jails - 11 County Jails in Nebraska, and two on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. In July of 2007, Tom and Laurie moved to Aurora to begin directing the New Life Corrections Ministry at Wayside Cross Ministries. Dr. Phil Wood joined the staff of Elgin Wayside Center in September of 2007. Having over 25 years of pastoral experience, since 1991 Phil has lead the congregation of Fellowship Church of Carol Stream. Previously, he was on the pastoral staff of Bethel Baptist Church in Schaumburg, Illinois and worked in church staffs in Florida and Wyoming. Compassion ministries, outreach and evangelism have been the major thrust of Phil’s ministry and he states he has spent more time in the DuPage Country jail than most offenders! Phil is an accomplished writer, coming from his many years of speaking and writing for the local church, and has published articles through Group Publishing and with Focus on the Family. Phil graduated with a Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois and is currently enrolled in the PhD program in Counseling at Liberty University. Phil is married to his lovely wife Penne and they have four children; Joshua, Brittany, Brooke, and Jeremy. |
