Full-time Position: Data Entry & Gift Processing Specialist – This Position has been filled

General Responsibility Description:

Wayside Cross Ministries, a Bible-based, Christ-centered non-profit organization for the broken and hurting, seeks an experienced, detail-oriented Data Entry & Gift Processing Specialist to process, track and report donations on behalf of the Ministry. You must have a heart for the people we serve very comfortable with database management and gift processing software. This position reports to the Communications Manager

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Your Experience Must Include: 2 or more years experience in Non-profit Gift Processing and Database management with hands-on experience in Blackbaud Razors Edge (Preferred) or similar software like Giftworks, Boomerang, DonorPerfect, MobileCause, and or Virtuous Software. Also Receipting, Donor Records Management, and a familiarity with accounting and banking procedures and best practices desired.

Must also be able to:

  • Enter and Update data, create and run queries in the required software
  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Prepare acknowledgement letters and receipts for all gifts
  • Create Gift batch reports
  • Retrieve records data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Have a working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices (printers and check scanners for banking)
  • Experience in Check-processing and Banking procedures
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Good command of English, both oral and written, and customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Agree with our Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct

Education: High school graduate or higher and 2 or more years of gift processing experience working with Blackbaud Razors Edge or comparable software.
